When it’s haven’t been your day, your week, your month, or even your year, New York will be there for you. Just fly there and wave at your problems from the plane. Everything seems fresh and new in the big apple, even the stuff you already have home. And just like Tinder, the city manages to match anything together. True love story coming up people. 💗

Walking around town made me feel like I was acting in all the movies and series I’ve ever seen. I swear I could feel Rachel and Ross sitting next to me at Central Park or Carrie shopping with me at Barney’s (but find better deals at Century 21 🙀). Too bad the only friend I’d made there was Roger but he’s a dog (not a fuckboy, a real dog). And the city makes you feel so smaaall, like tiny weeny ya know. The buildings like to scrape the sky so much I spent most of my time looking up, amazed by all these heights. But not only was I full of enchantment, I was litterally full too : from top cheesecakes to the cheesiest hamburgers, my stomach liked New-York even more. And don’t you dare leave the city lighter. Because if you didn’t put on some weights, it’s like you’ve never been there. 🙊

I have a confession : I didn’t like the city at first. Whaaaaat, after all I’ve been saying to you. Well it took me some time to appreciate it. All the things you hear and see about New-York is kinda true, but you didn’t get all the details. Sure, you can easily notice the beauty of it through a movie, but sadly its fragrance can’t be felt. Smelly city, smelly city, what are they feeding you 😩. Seriously, I had to find new ways to breathe so I wouldn’t pass out. And it’s not called the big apple for nothing, because just like the randomness of the fruit, you can make unlucky encounters from time to time…🙍🏻‍♂️

So trying to befriend with the city is no lava cake, and it takes time and energy to finally like it. And despite what you may have heard about it, you truly need to experience the city to enjoy it. But now, I miss it a lot, and just like my friends afar, I can’t wait to see it again. I can discount shopping but I can’t discount my feelings. 🌹
