October 2017 – Nice

The French Riviera will always have a special place in Dibald’s heart. I studied in Nice a year for my entrance in Business School back in September 2014. To think I didn’t want to go there at first… So much I was ready to start over my studies in order to stay in Paris. Looking back now, I just feel so lucky to had the chance to live there, and meet all those great people . I love this city so much I try to go there at least once or twice every year, to catch up with my southern friends (and the sun). It’s only been 5 months but I already can’t wait to go back. But something tells me Nice will come to me very soon…(@candice_lem ) Reading me, you must wonder why? Why avoid the shiny sun and greasy socca? I guess I was just too young to realize all the opportunities leaving Paris would offer me (and man, you should have seen my tan). Besides, 1 hour plane from the capital seemed like a whole ocean to cross. And back then, I hadn’t been to Nice in years and hardly thought of it as a retired-people city (still true actually). But my laziness caught me back and the idea of starting over my studies gave me the nausea . It’s hard at this age to know what you truly want… (also still very true now). And no one, from Oprah to your parents, does. So I went to Nice to give it a try, and fell in love with its seaview, sunsets and tequila sunrises

In the end, it seems like you may never know you want something until you see it for real
